SSCK seeks opening of Sharda temple route | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir has reiterated their demand for opening of Sharda temple route on the pattern of Kartarpur corridor. Addressing media persons, founder/ head of committee Ravinder Pandita said, "Sharda peeth is one of the 18 highest peeths of Sanatan Dharma which holds is significance as one of the oldest universities." Adding, "Yatra to this Shakti-peeth flourished during Maharaja Ranbir Singh reign and Swami Nandlal ji was the last saint to occupy this seat." Ravinder Pandita while appreciating the recent move by India and Pakistan regarding opening of Kartarpur Sahib corridor called upon both countries to show similar gesture on reopening of pilgrimage to Sharda Peeth letting the Hindus of J&K state and all Shankracharya followers to pay obeisance to the presiding deity of Kashmiri Hindus and Hindus who lived around the place in Sharda Tehsil, District Neelam of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He said, "We at Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (R) have been struggling and persuading both the governments to revisit the LOC treaty and amend the LOC permit allowing J&K Hindus for annual pilgrimage to Sharda Peeth on lines of Nankana Sahib yatra." Ravinder Pandita said, " Governemnt of India must appreciate that Save Sharda Committee Kashmir Regd has already initiated people to people contact and is on way of realizing the prophetic words of our prime minister." |
