JAMMU, Dec 6: The Chairman Districrt Legal Services Kathua Sanjeev Gupta today disbursed Rs 12.50 lac to father of victim of Rassana rape and Murder case as per direction of the Delhi High Court.
It is pertinent to mention here that aforesaid amount of compensation was awarded against some prominent media houses by the Chief Justice. High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, Justice Geeta Mittal, when she was the Chief Justice (Acting) of High Court of Delhi, for disclosing the identity of the victim of the crime in the above mentioned case in the media. |
