Sikh Activists welcome opening of Kartarpur Corridor | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Sikh activists including members of the Srimonali Akal Dal, Delhi (J&K Unit) and J&K Sikh Council today hailed opening of Kartanpur corridor. Addressing a press conference, members of Sikh community hailed the decision of India and Pakistan government to open the Kartarpur corridor to enable followers of Guru Nanak Dev to visit the historic Gurudwara there in Pakistan. Sardar Harasis Singh, Incharge SAD-Delhi's J&K unit and chairman of JK Sikh council Joginder Singh ji and other activists including Ranjit Singh, Davinder Singh and Sohan Singh said that it is a welcome gesture by the governments of both the neighbouring countries who took this historic decision which is soothing for millions of followers of Sikhism across the world. They said this corridor can serve as a bridge between India and Pakistan and usher a new era of peace and prosperity in the region. They also urged the governments of both the countries to sit together and start a dialogue process and sort out all border issues including J&K so that 1.5 billion populations living in two nuke countries can enjoy dividend of peace. |
