Jammu, Dec 6: The 4th Edition of Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) concluded at Srinagar on Srinagar with the screening of 'Laila Majnu', a film made in Kashmir, at Tagore Hall, Srinagar. The guests who were present on the occasion and distributed the awards included DC Srinagar, Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Deputy Director Tourism, Reyaz Ahmad, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Peerzada Hafizullah Shah, General Manager BSNL, Mufti Musharib Gul, CEO Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA), Hanief Balkhi and Chairman Kashmir Hoteliers Club, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya. Film Actors Yuvraj Kumar and Rippy Koul were felicitated while Cricketer Manzoor Pandow was honoured. On the occasion, the results of the films screened in the seven day film festival were also announced. The prizes were distributed in three sections viz. National, International and Kashmiri sections. The mementos were also presented to the sponsors and supporters of the Kashmir World Film Festival. Om Prakash Sharma, Syed Humayun Qaiser, Haneef Shaikh and Gulzar Ganai from the Management Committee and Ashok Kaul, Nagesh Bhonlse and Sarvdeep Singh were honoured on the occasion of closing ceremony. Festival Director and Founder, Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan while addressing the audience said he is a bit contended by today's response. "I hope it increases manifolds in future as well", he added. |
