| Jammu, Dec 16: The landslide victory of congress in three states and Vijay Diwas of 1971 war celebrated at Babber Chowk Sainik Colony Jammu. The function was organised by Jai Singh senior congress leader. Many supporters of congress joined celebrations. On this occasion, Jai Singh expressed that the victory in three states has given boost to the congress party. He also expressed that the people had seen five years tenure of BJP govt and the BJP govt had done nothing for the people of this country. Jai Singh also appealed to the people that they should vote for congress in the upcoming parliamentary elections and assembly elections which is going to be held in J&K very soon. The Vijay Diwas was also celebrated, as on this day 16 December 1971 the Pakistani army surrenders before Indian army in the Bangladesh war. The supporters present there raised the slogans in favour of Indian army.
