After Geelani's family, who is eyeing to get next Govt job? Ask people | Separatists face public fury for Badami Bagh Chalo drama! | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: Even as the Pakistan-backed separatists are hell bent to keep the boiling in Kashmir after the Pulwama incident, the people of Kashmir have taken the Hurriyat leaders head on for provoking civilians to stage protests outside the Badami Bagh cantonment in Srinagar. The people of Kashmir openly accused the so called Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) of playing with the sentiments of people for their personal benefits. The people took to social media to take dig at the JRL. The people said when the JRL leaders have voluntarily kept themselves in custody why were common people being asked to put their lives at risk. "@MirwaizKashmir has already informed police for house arrest including JRL.We people will be put under curfew. That's how these greedy people take advantage of dead bodies without any outcome but bring death to more through emotional dramas which settle for money later #Shame," said a Twitter handle Kashmir Herald or @echokashmir. Others said if the Hurriyat was so interested in Badami Bagh Chalo why did it keep a gap of two days. "It was only because Hurriyat leaders wanted themselves to be kept in police custody and force the common people to death and destruction," said another Twitter handle. People said that former militant turned separatist Mohammad Yasin Malik was doing a drama by claiming that he has gone into hiding. "Actually such leaders can do anything for publicity and this man in known for such political stunts," said Nazia, a social media user on Twitter. The people said instead of dousing the flames the Hurriyat was adding fuel to the fire through such tactics. "After Geelani's family, who is eyeing to get next Govt job through the Chalo politics," asked Anjum on Facebook. A police official said the Hurriyat leaders gain personal benefits out of such calls. Citing an example he said in 2016 when the JRL asked the Kashmiri youth to stage protests outside the Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta, on that day Syed Ali Geelani's grandson secretly went to SKICC to appear for interview and was given the job through unfair means. Many on social media asked if through Badami Bagh Chalo call, the Hurriyat leaders wanted more of their nears and dears to get adjusted in government jobs. Meanwhile a senior police official told Early Times that nobody would be allowed to take law into his hands and that the Badami Bagh Chalo program would be foiled with iron hands. "We cannot allow Pakistan proxies to do any drama outside BB Cantt for it's a very sensitive location," the police official said. Sources said the government would impose restriction on roads leading to the Army cantonment. The Army has already asked the people not to pay heed to the protest calls made by the Hurriyat. |
