Udhampur, Dec 16: In connection with 'Gite Jyanti Samaroh', a colorful program was organized by the office bearers of 'Sanskar Sanskriti Munch' branch Udhamur in the premises of old age home Udhampur. The school children from 'Brahm Rishi Bawra Shanti Vidya Peeth' Udhampur, AOC higher secondary school Udhampur, LA Paradize school Udhampur, and Jagriti old age home school Udhampur recited in Sanskrit the various chapters of the Gita, high lighting the importance of the teachings of lord Krishna. The occasion was graced by Prof. Vishwa Murti Shastri, founder of the 'Sanskar- Sanskriti Munch. Speaking on the occasion chief guest impressed that Gita is one of the most influential treatises in eastern philosophy. The Bhagavad-Gita is the eternal message of spiritual wisdom from ancient India. Bhagvat Geeta is all about finding strength. It's about mental peace, forgiveness, duty and above all, living an easy life and it is philosophy of life. Speaking on the occasion President of Udhampur Sanskar Sanskriti Munch highlighted the importance of teaching good values to children. |
