MENDHAR, Dec 16: Belying tall claims of the government about providing better road connectivity in remote areas of Mendhar Sub division of district Poonch, the busy roads of Awa Kalaban to Choroon other adjoining areas are dotted with potholes, lack of proper drainage system and dust.
Locals of Awa Kalaban to Choroon said that the roads in the area are in dilapidated condition. "Due to bad condition of roads and large potholes, the commuters especially students are facing many problems."
The locals said that government was taking no pains to repair these roads.
Apart from roads, the locals said, the drainage system and the water supply system too were not upto the mark.
A social worker , Nisar Ahmed Chachi have appealed to District Development Commissioner Poonch , concerned department and government to address the issues. |
