Contractual lectures completed 675th hunger day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 20: All Jammu and Kashmir contractual lecturers (10+2) lectures marked 675th days of chain hunger strike of fulfilling their demands of regularization on Thursday. Contractual lecturers from across the Jammu and Kashmir participated in the demonstration. Contractual lecturers from Kashmir reached Jammu late night to join the protester. The protesters demanded regularization by including them in any SRO or by framing new SRO. Arun Bakshi State President of the association said that they have been struggling here on the chain hunger strike for the last 675 days but initially during the regime of political government no one paid any attention towards us. He added that government has already in the past regularized so many ad hoc, contractual employees by passing legislatures like Civil services special provision act 2010, policy for ad hoc employees 1989, migrant vacancies and SRO. Bakshi said that only 10+2 contractual lecturers have been denied till date. The government has already regularized doctors, language instructors, range officers, information officers, teachers, college lecturers and even orderlies but no one is serious towards our demand. Arun Bakshi said that we again appeal the concerned government as well as to the Advisor K.A. Gania to take up the matter of our regularization. And till the case of regularization is settled, all the contractual lecturers working till date my kindly be allowed to continue and those whose services stand discontinued also may kindly engaged an in future this process of new selection shall not be made as already directed by the Advisor K. A .Ganai. |
