Udhampur, Dec 20: Late last an oil tanker carrying thousands of litres of diesel mysteriously caught fire on Jammu-Srinagar highway. However, timely response by Fire and Emergency Services Department and Udhampur Police averted a major tragedy.
According to reports, an tanker No JK05D- 2052 on way to Srinagar caught fire. The police swung into action and stopped movement of traffic on both the sides. The Fire and emergency Services doused the flames with the help of the police. Soon after, the movement of traffic was restored on the highway. |
