Trade leaders demand restrictions on Walmart , Big Bazar to save small retailers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: Trade leaders of 26 States in a meeting held yesterday at New Delhi under the patronage of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) in a unanimous voice highly objected the manner in which farm loans are waived and said that such a loan waiver is not less than a backstabbing of the crores of tax payers in the Country, Informed Neeraj Anand,Vice President, CAIT and President Chamber of Traders Federation Jammu. While addressing the 'Viraat Rally" at New Delhi yesterday, Neeraj shared concerns over declining trade volumes and increasing cost of doing business post GST and demonetization with other delegates from rest of India. Raking up issues of Jammu at National Level Neeraj Anand called for intervention at the highest level to remove Toll Tax on Goods, a faulty policy move that has shifted the trade balance in favor of neighboring states thus badly affecting trade based economy of Jammu region. Later attending the National Trade body meet at CAIT's office , Neeraj also stressed on restricting loss financing module adopted by Wal-Mart, Big bazaar etc to snatch business from small retailers and Traders. |
