Jammu, Dec 24: Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region has come out with a new concept of Ádopt a Patient'' i.e. to help poor patients suffering from different ailments in their medical treatment to the maximum possible by providing medicines and financial assistance on case to case basis as one of the main Philanthropic activity. As adoption of the patients Rs. 1.70 Lakh was distributed today through cheques to 8 different patients suffering from fatal diseases in presence of O.P. Sharma, Sita Ram Sharma, Neeraj Anand, Vikram Gujral, Rajinder Singh, S.C. Bali Executive Committee members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region and R.Vijay Magotra, Social activist and Executive Committee Member of the IRCS, Jammu District Branch. Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region while handing over the cheques for and on behalf of the Executive Committee of IRCS, Jammu Region informed that under the Chairmanship of Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Divisional Commissioner who is also the Chairman of IRCS, Jammu Region, the Society will put its best efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the poor members of public and sought the cooperation of all those Philanthropist who wanted to contribute in the adoption of patients for their treatment. |
