The meeting also appealed Government of India to take an immediate action on the survey report of ethnographic study of J&K Batwals, undertaken by the Planning Commission of India in 1994 so that steps are taken to ameliorate living standard of the rearmost Batwals of the State. Earlier, the meeting congratulated community's newly elected Sarpanchs, Panchs, Municipal Corporator and Town Area Committee members. |
