Jammu, Dec 29: RBI in collaboration with Government Girls Higher Secondary School, RS Pura conducted an awareness programme on Banking Ombudsman Scheme (BOS) An awareness programme on Customer protection through awareness Banking Ombudsman (BO) Scheme was organized by the Office of Banking Ombudsman (OBO), Reserve Bank of India in collaboration with GGHSS RS Pura. The programme was presided over by P Shimrah, Banking Ombudsman, RBI. H S Verma, Secretary, OBO, was also present. Gobind Ram Sharma, the Principal, teachers, staff members and about 625 students attended the programme. P Shimrah, Banking Ombudsman for the State of Jammu and Kashmir, deliberated on the importance of financial freedom, in his inaugural speech. He emphasized the importance of knowing where the money comes from and where it goes, spending money wisely which means having a budget, saving money and investing wisely, principle of sowing and reaping and the principle of contentment. |
