JAMMU, Dec 29: Chairman J&K Intellectual Civil Society S.S. Sodhi and Director DPS schools, was awarded Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee excellence award.
The award was given by Lt. General Ajay Kumar Singh Former Lt. Governor of Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands in an impressive ceremony during a conference on "Economic Growth and National Integration" at New Delhi on Monday.It was organized by India International Friendship Society (IIFS), a non-governmental Society of repute. It is noteworthy that Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose birthday falls on 25th Dec, was conferred India's highest Civilian Honour, the Bharat Ratna, by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee, while 25 Dec. was also declared as Good Governance Day by Prime Minister Modi's administration. Also present on the occasion were Gurpreet Singh-Secretary General IIFS, R.P Matoo-President Natural Resources India Foundation, Dr. Sunil Gaikwa-MP, Manhar Valjibhai Zala Chairman National Commission for Safai Karamchari. |
