DPS Nagbani organizes Kho-Kho matches | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 29: Delhi Public School Nagbani organized Kho-Kho matches for boys and girls here today. The initiative of the matches has been taken to create an environment for empowering the talent of students who will become the pride of our nation in the future. This game is not only very physical, with lots of running, diving and squatting, but also brilliant for encouraging teamwork. Participants have to watch carefully, work together and learn how to recognize when a teammate should take over the pursuit. After giving a tough fight to its opponent, from boys category Team "Tiger" won the match and from the girls category Team "DPS Stars" won the matches in their respective categories. All the teams played with the spirit of sportsmanship and the staff encouraged the players. The Principal of the school R. K. Verma awarded merit certificates to the winning teams and appreciated the efforts of the players and said that mastering how to play Kho-Kho is a real workout for the body and mind because it requires quick thinking on the part of the participants to decide the right player to take over. So it involves an element of strategy to play the game correctly. He also encouraged the students to take part in such co-curricular activities to remain physically fit and healthy. |
