JAMMU, Dec 30: A police party from Talab Tillo today claimed to have apprehended a notorious criminal and recovered one country made pistol (katta) from his possession.
"During random checking near Poonch House, Talab Tillo, one pedestrian was intercepted who on seeing the police tried to escape from the spot but police party apprehended him," said spokesman adding that he disclosed his identity as Ajeet Raj of Dhok Paloura.
On his personal search a pistol (katta) was recovered from him which was supposed to be used in some criminal activity.
Accordingly, a case was registered at Nowabad police station under relevant sections of law and investigation taken up.
The arrest and recovery was made by team led by SI Vikrant Singh-incharge police post, Inspector Neeraj Bhagat-SHO Nowabad, Seema Nabi-SDPO West and Amritpal Singh-SP North. |
