ED employees retain service books | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Dec 31: It has came to fore that many employees of the education department especially teachers in Rajouri district are in custody of their service books despite government's directions to submit them in the offices of concerned Drawing & Disbursing Officers/ Officials (DDOs). The main reason behind keeping the services books by the government employees was preventing the officials from entering unauthorised leaves of the employees. In order to stop this practice and to assure presence of the employees at the place of their postings, the state government has ordered to keep the service books in the offices of concerned DDOs. It came to the notice of senior education department officials that many employees of the department still have not submitted their service books to the concerned DDOs. To check and to shun such practice, Ch Lal Hussain, CEO Rajouri has issued an order to all the DDOs to direct all the employees to submit their service books within next few days. He also said that after January 10 and on wards district level committees will be formed to inspect the service books and if any DDO was found not in possession of service book (s) of the employees under his jurisdiction, he will personally be responsible for action. He has also directed the principals, ZEOs, ZEPOs and headmasters to deposit their service books in his office. "All the DDOs have been directed not to release the salaries of officials/officers unless their service books were in their custody with entries of leaves of all types for 2018-19/ in the past and increments entries" said CEO. |
