Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 2: In a major development, a contingent of 110 players from J&K pencak Silat was flagged off by the secretary Sports council, Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary who will be participating in Nationals. The contingent comprises of 80 players from Kashmir and 30 players from Jammu. Secretary sports council appreciated the players and wished them best for the national games. He hoped that they will bring laurels for the state. Meanwhile, a separate felicitation was held in the office of secretary sports council, where he felicitated Wushu Star players including Bhanu Pratap and hoped that in future wushu players from JK will have good medal tally at International level. Senior Wushu Coach, Kuldeep Handoo apprised Secretary of various issues facing by them for which every help was assured by the Secretary. Dr Chowdhary also held a review meeting of overall construction works including PMDP Projects, languishing projects, projects approved under capex budget and other important works. "The construction work is going on at good pace and hopefully all the projects will be completed on time," said Dr Chowdhary. |
