Jammu, Jan 2: Kanha Chack police today claimed to have seized 300 kgs polythene carry bags.
Police spokesman said that on specific information developed by Inspector Gurnam Singh-SHO Kahna Chak, police team from Kahna Chak conducted raid in Pukhoo area and seized approximate 300 Kgs. polythene carry bags from the possession of one Ramesh Chander of Ward No. 6, Purkhoo, Tehsil Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that the J&K State Govt. has imposed ban on use, sale and keeping of Polythene carry bags. The accused has dumped these polythene carry bags for illegal sale among the shopkeepers of the area.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 02/2019 under section 188 of RPC and 6/7/10 Non Biogradeable Management & Handling Disposal Act 2017 has been registered at Kahna Chak police station and further investigation of the case is going. |
