Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 2: In a simple but impressive function, Bhartiya Kala Sangam held a programme in T.V. which eminent persons belonging to different fields were honoured and felicitated in the premises of Cultural Academy at K. L. Saigal hall Jammu today. In this programme, Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, IPS Inspector General of Police was Chief Guest where as R.S. Chib, former Minister presided over the function. Besides Vinay Sharma, SP South, Jammu, Sunaina Mehta, KAS, Secretary, JMC, SK Atri, Dy. Director Tourism, Shashi Thakur, DSP were Guests of Honour and T. R. Sharma KAS (Retd.) Chairman and Romesh Chib, Director of Bhartiya Kala Sangam were also present on the occasion. While addressing the audience, Dr. SD Singh Jamwal IPS Inspector General of Police lauded the efforts of Bharatiya Kala Sangam for organizing such a wonderful programme and felicitating personalities of the soil in recognition of their services towards society. RS Chib also spoke and said that such functions of honouring persons sets a precedent for others in various fields of work to emulate them and make significant contribution for getting acknowledged by the society. Earlier welcoming the guests, Sohail Kazmi gave a brief summary of various cultural activities undertaken by BKS since its inception. In this programme, RC Kotwal, SSP (Head Quarter), Vinay Sharma (KPS) SP South, S.K. Atri Dy. Director Tourism Deptt.,. Sunena Mehta (KAS) Secretary Jammu Municipal Corp., Shashi Thakur DSP, were felicitated. The function was ably conducted by anchor, Rajni Anubhav, a renowned radio and TV announcer and vote of thanks was presented by T. R. Sharma, Chairman BKS. |
