Poonch, Jan 2: Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Poonch is in news for numerous scams.
According to the sources government has invested hefty sums in RDD Poonch through different schemes during the last ten years, but the released amount has not been utilized properly because of the commission system among the officials.
Most of the VLWs, JEs, GRSs and other concerned officials have made fortunes from commission from the common masses and sanctioned amount without any works from previous ten years under MGNREGA, BADP, SDRF, 14thFC and other schemes.
Sources from Mandi, Loran, Sathra, Poonch, Nangali Sahib Sain Baba blocks have informed early times that there is huge fraud to be investigated through vigilance organization. They have demanded for high level probe into the matter at an earliest. |
