MENDHAR, Jan 7: The residents of Nakamanjhari area of Balakote in Mendhar, have asked the authorities to install power poles in their area as most of the electrical wires continue to be tied around trees. A social worker Raja waseem Khan of Nakamanjhari village said, "At a number of places, the power wires are tied to trees as the concerned department has failed to sanction adequate number of poles. Using trees poses risk for humans as well as animals." They further said that the power development department should ensure that Saubhagya scheme, started by central government, is implemented in letter and spirit and power poles are sanctioned as per requirement. |
