| AFCON puts lives of labourers to risk, denies them facilities | | |

Kishtwar, Jan 7: The labourers working in 1000 MW Pakal-Dool Power project in Kishtwar District accuse the AFCON management engaged in the project construction off putting their lives to risk. The angry workers said: " we feel like bonded labourers. "It's very unfortunate that AFCON Company behaves like British rulers as Company is not providing , Tunnel allowance, no Sunday attendance , no proper medical facility that shows the face of AFCON Company.."
Shan also sought personal intervention of PM Narendra Modi and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat in this matter as Union Minister is a stake holder in the and directs AFCON Company to pay allowance and wages to workers as per guidelines.
He said that Assistant Labour Commissioner Kisht-war post is lying vacant since long and the officials who hold the additional charge of ALC Kishtwar is not taking the cognisance of this issue added the officials in the Administration were also hand in glove with concerned Company that is denying genuine rights to the poor labourers. |
