Jammu, Jan 9: Home for the Aged and Infirm, Ambphalla, Jammu has been serving the humanity in a big way since its inception. Home has the intake capacity of 100 such aged persons who have attained 60 years or above age. Old age people generally hesitate to join homes for the Aged due to social taboos. Management of the Home has, therefore, decided to reach out such persons who are aged i.e. 60 years and above to help them with some monthly financial aid. Fifteen such men / women have been identified by the Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region under the affable and agile guidance of Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu. The Home distributed financial aid to the tune of Rs.500/- per month basis in the office of the Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu in presence of Vijay Bagotra, Secretary and I.D. Soni, President of the Home respectively. Aim of the Home is to serve the Humanity in all its possible way with liberal donations of philanthropists of the State. |
