Jammu, Jan 9: With an objective to provide quality and specialized ANC to every pregnant woman, "Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan" (PMSMA), a fixed day ANCs is being provided on 9th of every month across the state in designated 134 health facilities which include District Hospitals, CHCs and few PHCs. On this designated day pregnant women get antenatal care services by Specialists & Medical Officers at the PHC/ CHC/ DH levels in the 2nd/3rd trimester of pregnancy. The free diagnostics as well as drugs are provided to the pregnant women. Bhupinder Kumar, Mission Director, NHM, J&K, visited Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, where Dr. Chander Prakash, Medical Superintendent, briefed about the implementation status as well as free entitlements being provided to the pregnant women. Mission Director appreciated the efforts of the staff and advised them to prepare the line list of High Risk Pregnant Mothers so that they can be tracked till the outcome of the pregnancy and ensure every pregnant women delivers in the hospital. He reiterated for providing quality services to the beneficiaries and also upkeep of records and data. Mission Director also visited CHC, Bishnah & R.S.Pura and monitored Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) activities. He was accompanied by Dr. Harjeet Rai, Programme Manager, Maternal Health, J&K. |
