Jammu, Feb 12: Dr. Banarsi Lal, a native of Kathua district and presently serving as Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been conferred with the 'Young Scientist Award' by the Education Expo TV (EET CRS) during the Academic Brilliance Awards ceremony recently held at Noida, India. The prestigious award was presented to the budding scientist on the basis of his meritorious achievements and exceptional contributions in the field of agriculture and allied sectors. His formidable efforts for the innovative extension and research methodologies were genuinely considered by the esteem organisation. It is worthwhile to mention here that Dr. Banarsi has written more than 492 publications as research papers, success stories/case studies, technical bulletins, leaflets, folders, books, book chapters, training manuals etc. He has done pioneering work on exponential communication model building. The versatile scientist has the distinction of receiving the Best Oral Presentation awards, Best KVK Presentation Award, Young Scientist Awards, Best Scientist Awards, Best Extension Work Award, Scientist of the Year Awards, Special Achievement Award, Jury Mention Certificate Award, Best Researcher Awards, Best Extensionist Awards, Excellence in Extension Awards, IARDO-2018 Award, Outstanding Scientist Award-2018,Outstanding Researcher Award-2018 and many appreciation awards in many zonal, national and international conferences and workshops. The scientist always stresses on the working in groups by the farmers and also on efficient agricultural marketing. |
