Udhampur, Feb 12: At least 12 houses were completely damaged and scores of residential structures suffered partial damages due to heavy snowfall in the far flung Didi Bugger hamlet in the Latti area of District Udhampur on Monday.
Sources said that nine houses belonging to Mohammad Amin, Noor Mohammad. Mohammad Mushtaq, Mohammad Akhtar, Ghulam Hussain, Khursheed Ahmed, Maqbool Hussain, Shamim Begum and Roshan Din were damaged in the incident. Two houses belonging to Rafiq Ahmed and Abdul Latif while as one house belonging to Shanti Devi were also totally damaged.
After hearing the information Tehsildar Latti along with Naib Tehsildar Latti with other revenue officers as well as Police, Sarpanch Latti Kustuari Lal reached the spot and took the stock of huge loss. Sources in revenue department said that they are assessing the losses. |
