| ABVP protests against Police lathicharge on students | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members today staged a protest demonstration outside Jammu University main gate against police lathicharge on protesting students of GGM Science College.
The protest started with the cancellation of exams of various departments by the volunteers of ABVP. While addressing the students Ravail said that such kind of incidents would not be tolerated by the nationalist students of Jammu university.
Further a programme organised at Rajinder Singh auditorium was addressed by Ravail and students joined the protest and blocked the road outside Jammu University. The road was blocked and slogans were raised against Police department for atrocities on the students of Science college. Students were pushed by the police and there was scuffle between the students and the police.
Others who joined the protest were Ajay, Joginder , Suyash gupta, Sonika koul, Ajay sharma, Romit Kumar, Dileep singh, Shivani, divyansh, Rajat, Raghav, anmol,etc
ABVP unit of MAM College and general students boycotted there classes in order to show there resentment against the people who raised alleged pro-Pakistani slogans at GGM Science College on 11th February.
Parteek Raina said that the guilty persons should be kept behind the bars and also condemned the brutal lathi charge on students by JK Police and also demanded an inquiry to be setup to look for this whole incident. |
