Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 12: Financial Inclusion and Insurance department in collaboration with NABARD organized 14 digital-financial literacy awareness programmes in different unbanked villages of the Branch offices Kalyanpur, Sangrampur, Bajabain, Channi Prat, Doongi Brahmana, Parnalla, Mahanpur, Marta Nagrota, Rohama, Tregpora, Nadihal, Aragam, Chugal & Phuropeth under the Districts Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Baramulla, Bandipora & Kupwara. Ram Lal, Retired Headmaster Patniyal, one of the chief guests, informed the gathering about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. He stressed upon the need of using various applications of the bank for getting cashless transactions and also highlighted the importance of cashless transactions that shall not only save time of the customers, reduce their wait times in the bank but shall give boost to direct revenues of the government in the shape of tax collections utilised for development of villages Maya Ram Ji, Block Coordinator UMEED, was the Guest of honour at Sangrampur appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social schemes a big success. He stressed for availing benefits of bank schemes available on hassle free manner. Representatives of other Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, etc also attended the programmes. They highlighted that the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding digitisation by educating the people about the benefits of digital banking and cash less economy. He highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset changes towards Cash to cashless economy.
