Jammu, Feb 20: J&K Grameen Bank organized seventh Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes among unbanked villages of Branch Offices Gingal, Uri Baramulla, Rehal Dhamalian, Kheri, Tilgam, Sherpora and Dyala Chak under District-Baramulla, Jammu, Bandipora & Kathua. Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural and in collaboration with NABARD organized seven Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes in different unbanked villages of the Branch Offices Gingal, Uri Baramulla, Rehal Dhamalian, Kheri, Tilgam and Sherpora under District-Baramulla, Jammu, Bandipora and Kathua. Raghbir Dass, Ex-serviceman one of the chief guests appreciated Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department for its remarkable performance Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion activities in the State and for which J&K Grameen Bank was also awarded by NABARD in State Credit Seminar 2019 organised by NABARD. He then impressed upon the gathering to make best utilisation of banking services for their benefit and overall development. Sharda Devi, Naib Sarpanch Halqa Magloor, was the organiser and the Guest of Honour on the occasion. She appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social schemes a big success. Ravi Kumar, Branch Head Dyala Chak, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding digitisation by educating the people about the benefits of digital banking and cash less economy. He highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mind-set changes towards Cash to cashless economy. Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Education and NRLM also attended the programme besides the huge gathering students and farmers of the villages were also present on the occasion Branch Head Kheri, Rehal, Gingal,Uri Baramulla, Tilgam & Sherpora of J&K Grameen Bank, spread the message of financial literacy and awareness among the population of remote villages at their respective locations. |
