Akbar Lone does it again, says 'India will lose Kashmir soon' | Main stream Kashmiri politicians becoming separatist sympathizers | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 20: At a time when the entire country is striving hard to give befitting reply to the anti- India forces, senior NC leader and former Speaker of LA has made ruthlessly irresponsible statement saying India will lose Kashmir soon. Akbar Lone who gained notoriety by raising pro Pakistan slogan in the state legislative assembly has this time again tried his utmost to stay dear to separatists by making this anti national utterance. Such a statement issued by a former legislator, former speaker of the legislative assembly and former minister is in itself an indication about how low can the politicians in Kashmir stoop to appease separatists. "All such rants are nothing but clear attempts to garner votes. If such elements are allowed to go scot-free, it will instigate people for more violence and more hatred will spread in the state," says Kashmir based senior social activist. Lone was the first mainstream politician from the state who opposed anti-militancy operations in Jammu and Kashmir. Just 10 days before the gruesome Pulwama terror attack shocked the nation, Lone made a startling statement against anti-militancy operations in Kashmir. Meanwhile, it is emerging as a new trend in Kashmir that so called mainstream politicians are posing as separatist sympathisers with a sole motive to garner votes and appease separatists. Even those if elected would go to parliament are making such unpardonable statements without any remorse. "This is utterly shameful that a political swearing in the name of the constitution is working against its very principles and is busy eulogizing those who are out making calls to disintegrate the country," says a mass media student hailing from Jammu. |
