BJP thrived deceptive slogans, false promises: Harsh
2/22/2019 9:59:47 PM
Early Times Report
Ramnagar, Feb 22: Asserting that public outrage against central and state governments was at all time high, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman today said that time had come to teach a lesson to those who betrayed the voters by false narrative and deceptive slogans.
He said that while the slogans of "corruption free dispensation" and "Sabka saath Sabka vikas" remained a distant mirage, the bold assertions of "Achhe Din" have continued to remain mired in ambiguity. The saffron rule witnessed uncontrolled inflation steep rise in petrol and diesel prices and demonetization which gave a stunning blow to the economy of the nation besides rattling the middle classes and lower income groups.
Harsh said that with pre-poll promises having transformed into post poll somersaults, the disenchantment of masses with the saffron party had become more pronounced with each passing day. He was addressing a public meeting in village Ramain and Hansa of Ramnagar constituency today. "Not only did it fail on governance front but law and order situation deteriorated to an all time low. The interval security became the biggest causality of BJP rule with unprecedented death and destruction shaking people's faith in the dispensation. The recent Pulwama attack on CRPF in which 44 Jawans were martyred is a great security lapse that shall continue to haunt the people for years to come," said Harsh.
Harsh said that while unemployment has assum-ed alarming proportions, the educated unemployed youth suffered most heavily under the central as well as BJP-PDP coalition rule. He said that while announcements for creation of two crore jobs every year were made by the central BJP leaders, the delivery on the ground was in inverse proportion to the articulation of the promise itself.
He said the BJP-PDP government issued the most 'obnoxious' SRO-202 thereby causing immense embitterment amongst the educated youth. He said that the simmering discontent amongst the educated youth posed a major challenge which could have earth shaking consequences in the days to come.
Decrying the BJP for ignoring the issue of delimitation of Assemblies during its 3½ year rule, Harsh deplored the neglect of every single issue of Jammu region which it had incorporated in its Election manifesto. He said that having failed to make even mention of Delimitation of Assembly constituencies while in government, the BJP leaders had started parroting the significance of the issue after having lost power.
