JKSAC demands implementation of JPC report | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 22: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) in a meeting held at "Chatha Pind", Jammu reiterated the demand for implementation of Joint Parliamentary Committee's Report to resolve the long pending legitimate issues of DPs of 1947 from POK having priority for reservation for their wards in both State and Central Govt. services and technical institutions and also to prepare a comprehensive roadmap accordingly. The participants also urged upon the incumbent govt. to consider the cases of DPs who were registered outside and are settled in J&K from the last more than 60 years as they are having PRCs and their wards were also provided employment in State Govt. services. The participants urged upon the incumbent govt. to stress upon the Ministry of Home Affairs to release the funds for the remaining beneficiaries who have already been identified and appeared on the internet for relief assistance. While presenting his views regarding the various problems/difficulties raised by the participants in the meeting, Gurdev Singh President said that JKSAC is seized of all the problems/difficulties. The attention of higher authorities have been drawn many times in this regard but unfortunately due to lack of positive mindset no adequate measures have been taken sofar resulting in that the one time settlement issue have not been projected any dispensation of the state and even JPC, a high powered committee's report has not been taken into account sofar. |
