Jammu, Feb 22: General Category Peoples Forum Jammu (GCPFJ) has castigated the decision of restoration of reservation in promotions and 10 percent reservation to the economically weaker sections of the general masses. According to press release, a meeting of Forum members was held, which was attended by V.K. Sharma, Bhushan Parjat, Deepak Khajuria, Raj Kumar Banathia, Som Nath Sharma, Dr. Bansi Lai and Prof. Yash Paul Sharma. Members of the Forum alleged that some officials and political leaders including a group of ex-MLA's of BJP have been continuously misleading Governor over the issue of 'Reservation in promotions' playing vote bank politics. "Any step to muzzle the voice of General Category and undermining the judicial verdict of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir which quashed the Reservation in Promotion Rules and held them illegal and unconstitutional, shall be opposed", they said. Forum appealed to the Governor S.P. Malik for the withdrawal of his decision on the issue of reservation. |
