| 85 bovine animals rescued, 4 persons arrested | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Feb 22: In continuation to its special drive against the menace of Bovine smuggling launched on the directions of SSP Ramban Anita Sharma, today a police party led by SHO Batote Inspector Nazir Ahmed under the supervision of DySP HQ Ramban Asgar Malik and under close supervision of Addational SP Sanjay Parihar laid surprise naka at Nashri. During checking, 4 Trucks bearing Reg. No's UP11AT/0997,JK02AP/1875,JK02AQ/7781&JK21C/3848 got intercepted at Nashri and on search rescued 15, 28, 26 &16 bovine animals respectively from these kashmir bound trucks. Total 85 bovine animals have been rescued from the clutches of smugglers. 4 suspected bovine smugglers namely Yaqoob Hussain S/O Mohammad Aslam R/O Baghal Dhra,Poonch, Mohammad Sadeeq S/O Mohammad Iqbal R/O Chappa,Batote, Mureed Ali S/O Mohammad Yousuf R/O Talab Tillo Jammu and Ashiq Ali S/O Mossa R/O Krimchi Mansar has taken into custody & all the said vehicles has been seized. On questioning, the suspected person's revealed that they were trying to smuggle these bovine animals towards Kashmir without seeking permission from the concerned authorities. In this regard case FIR No. 15/19,16/19,17/19 & 18/19, U/S 188RPC, 3 PC Act stand registered at Police Station Batote. investigation taken up. |
