| 14 bovine animals rescued, smuggler held | | | | Kathua, Feb 26: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, police today claimed to have rescued 14 bovines and arrested bovine smuggler at Hatli. Police spokesman said that SI Vishal-Incharge Police Post Hatli succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 14 bovine animals. Police team during checking at NHW near Hatli Morh seized one truck bearing registration number JK02AH-5977 and illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process, police saved 14 bovine animals, arrested the bovine smuggler namely Yaqoob Hussain of Poonch and seized the truck. Police registered a case under relevant sections of Law while further investigation into the case is going on. |
