Jammu, Feb 26: Mega workshop was organized by Communication and Capacity Development Unit, WSSO, Department of PHE, I&FC Jammu through Swarangan Meditation Charitable Trust (NGO) to sensitize the allied departments regarding Water, Sanitation & Hygiene under the guidelines of National Rural Drinking Water & Sanitation Programme (NRDWP) at Govt Girls Hr Secondary, Rehari, Jammu. The aim of conducting this workshop was to create awareness among masses and sensitization of the allied departments for the conservation of water and preservation of water bodies. On this occasion, Rajni Kotwal, Principal was the special invitee and in her address she stressed that such workshops be organized in Urban and Rural areas for awareness among the masses and further highlighted the need for conservation of water as well as the economic usage of drinking water and stressed that gross root level awareness is required and we must make a every drop count. In his address he advocated to use water judiciously and avoid its wastage so that water resources are conserved and ensuring its availability for future generation. Presentations were delivered by Health Department, Education Department, Agricultural Department, education deptt Jammu, Central Ground Water Board Jammu, Command Area Development, Earlier, Er. Mohinder Manhas, Asstt Executive Engineer PHE, Technical Officer to Superintending Jammu welcomed all the dignitaries on the occasion. |
