Fraudster held for trying to print CISF I-cards | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 26: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a fraudster who approached a local printing press for printing of Identity Cards of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Police sources said that owner of printing press namely Sashi Kohli reported to Gandhi Nagar police that a man namely Manmohan Singh of Digiana approached him with an authority letter for printing of 25 Identity cards of CISF. The complainant further said that Manmohan Singh also gave him a sample of the Identity Card and next day he again approached the printing press for early printing of the cards which put the owner of the printing press under suspicion. Police sources said that the complainant found contact number of Inspector General of Police (IGP) CISF on the sample Identity Card and he made phone call to the given phone number and inquired about the printing of Identity Cards. "The IGP straight way declined about issuing of any authority letter and printing of Identity Cards," said police sources quoting the complainant. Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the alleged accused Manmohan Singh besides seizing the sample Identity Card and authority letter. Police said that during preliminary questioning it came to fore that Manmohan used to apply for loans from different banks on the basis of forged Identity Cards. Further questioning is going on to ascertain whether he had been granted any loan on fake Identity Card. |
