| DB directs JKSLSA to file report | | PIL regarding child abuse | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Advocate Shivan Mahajan against child abuse, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma after hearing Adv Parimoksh Seth for the PIL observed that the status report on behalf of the State shall be filed in the Registry during the course of the day.
DB further observed that Member-Secretary, J&K State Legal Services Authority has not filed the report in terms of our last order dated 6th February, 2019 whereby Division Bench directed report shall be submitted by the Member-Secretary, J&K State Legal Services Authority with regard to the program which was to be undertaken the Districts of the State of J&K for educating the children regarding sexual violence, culpability of young offenders as also issues relating to the cyber offence. The court directed that the same be positively filed before the next date of hearing. |
