| NGPPWF holds demonstration over discrimination in pay anomaly | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5: The police pensioners held a demonstration today, in protest against the discrimination with them with regard to pay grade.
A large number of retired Police personnel under the banner of Non-Gazetted Police Pensio-ners Welfare Forum (NGPPWF), led by Ajit Singh (President), assembled and started protest demonstration. They were demanding removal of anomaly in their pay grades. They said that the Forum was projecting this issue since long and many times representations were given to the IGPs, DGPs and to the J&K Finance Department in the past but expect false assurances, nothing has been done in this regard.
Ajit Singh further pointed out that Pay Anomaly Committees were also framed from time to time and they have also given their opinion and Finance department had sought some clarification from the office of DGP and that too, stands submitted, but despite this all, the justice has not been provided to the retired police men of Non-Gazetted cadre.
He demanded that time bound grade should be given in Armed and IRP like District Police which has not been given till date.
And in state pay rank police department is placed on number five, looking at the duties and hours which is 24 hours and the sacrifices, police department should be placed at number one. |
