jammu, Mar 5: In continuation to ongoing drive against drug peddlers, launched by District police, Gandhi Nagar police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 grams heroin from his possession.
Police spokesman said that today police party of Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka at Green Belt Gandhi Nagar.
"During naka checking a car bearing Registration number JK02CB-6092 was intercepted and on frisking/search 10 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the driver of the Car namely Tajinder Singh alias Jinda of Ward No. 2 Simbal Camp Jammu", said spokesman adding that taking cognizance of this, police registered a case under FIR No. 60/2019 under section 8/21/22 of NDPS Act at police station Gandhi Nagar.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested accused is a hardcore criminal and involved in a number of cases of attempt to murder and narcotics. |
