DPP expresses concern over ECI's denial of invitation to regd parties | | R.B. Suri | 3/5/2019 11:09:56 PM |
| Early Times Report jammu, Mar 5: Duggar Pradesh Party (DPP) has expressed its serious concern for not inviting registered political parties to meet the visiting team of Election Commission of India (ECI), especially discussion for holding of parliamentary and assembly elections jointly and described it as a futile exercise. The DPP said that commission should have listened the other political and social organizations as J&K State is reeling under terrorism for the last about thirty years. Uday Chand, President of the party said before holding any election, Government of India, must enhance the parliamentary and assembly segments of Jammu region to remove the political slavery of Kashmir politics over Jammu. He said keeping of 12 segments excess in Kashmir, was deliberate attempt and leadership of all national as well as state political parties since 1947 which is responsible for continuous discriminatory attitude against Jammu province. He said holding of delimitation of segments of parliament and assembly, is a constitutional obligation and it was in agenda of PDP-BJP alliance but BJP completely surrendered before PDP to remain in power. Uday Chand strongly demanded that Government of India should defer assembly elections for next six years in Jammu & Kashmir to completely combat the terrorism of Pakistan in which thousands of people were killed. He said the life of the people and defence of the country is more important than any election as the people are facing this turmoil for the last near thirty years. |
