Kathua, Mar 9: Pradesh Mahila Congress met at Billawar Tehsil to Celebrate Intemational Women's day. Meeting was presided over by Indu Pawar President Pradesh Mahila Congress. Ms. Pawar said today's women is fully capable & ready to face any challenge for their country, may it be in peace or in war. This is only due to the entering of women in each and every field of our life after being properly educated and trained.
She said lot is needed to be done in providing, education, protecting the girl child and providing equal opportunities to women also. Congress Govt. provided to reservation to women candidates in local bodies/ local self Govt. but nothing has been done by NDA Govt. Centre in providing reservation to women in legislative Assemblies/ Councils of states and Loksabha/ Rajya Sabha in Centre. Ms Pawar said by providing due reservation to women in constitutional/ Law making bodies the fate of women and progress of this nation will accelerate to words betterment.
She appealed to the Govt. at Centre to take immediate steps in passing laws for providing reservation to women, this will help in early decision making and rapid progress of India at Par with other developed nations.
