One held with fake Indian currency worth Rs 10 lakh, 2 kilogram heroin like substance | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 9: Continuing its war against drugs, Police of Poonch district in association with 7/11 GR of Army achieved a major success by recovering 2 kilogram of heroin like substance (Narcotic drug) and 10 lakh of Fake Indian Currency in the denomination of 400 notes of Rs.500 and 400 notes of Rs. 2000 denomination during routine naka checking from a bag of one drug peddler at LOC Gate No 488 in the Jurisdiction of Police Post Balakote this evening. The accused has been identified as Mohd Zaffar Khan of village Dabbi Balakote. In this connection the drug peddler was arrested alongwith the contraband and a case FIR No 40 /2019 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 489(c )of RPC been registered at Mendhar police station.
