Reasi, Mar 13: With an aim to create awareness among the people about health, hygiene, sanitation, optimal feeding etc and spread the message of Kuposhan Mukat Bharat under Poshan Abhiyaan a CYLOTHON was organized in Reasi by ICDS project Reasi. Rajinder Kumar, Addl Deputy Commissioner Reasi today flaged off the CYCLOTHON (bicycle rally) organised by ICDS Project Reasi to spread the awareness under Poshan Abhiyaan. The message "Ride for Kuposhan Mukat Bharat" witnessed the presence of huge gathering consisting of local people and field staff of ICDS project Reasi supervisors, Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers. Kumar, along with, All BDOs of Distt Reasi, CDPO Reasi, Tehsildars, ARTO and Health Department officials led the CYCLOTHON which passed through the residential areas and the markets of Reasi with an aim to reach the maximum target audience. Speaking at the flag off ceremony, Addl Deputy Commissioner Reasi said that the main aim of the campaign is to send a message across the mountain District about Poshan Abhiyaan that will help spread awareness towards, Health Hygiene sanitation and Nutrition" in the area. Addl dy Commissioner further said that the staff of ICDS and all the line departments under Poshan Abhiyaan needs to be channelized in such a way so as to reach every house hold with main thrust on Behavioral change, as mere providing of Nutrition is not going to solve the problem of malnutrition in the area. |
