JAMMU, Mar 13: A lady who is repeated offender in drug peddler has been detained under Public Safety Act (PSA).
Police spokesman said that the drug peddler named Reena alias Roopa, of Pindi, Rajasthan presently staying at Rajeev Nagar, Narwal Bala, Jammu, was involved in a number of cases, including FIR no. 128/16 under section 8/20 NDPS Act of Gangyal police station, FIR no. 220/17 under section 8/20 NDPS Act of Bahu Fort police station, FIR no.199/18 under sections 341 and 323 of RPC of Bahu Fort police station and FIR no. 67/19 under section 8/22 NDPS Act of Bahu Fort police station. She had also been detained under section 151/110 CrPC for involvement in unlawful activities, especially peddling of narcotics. Keeping in view her activities and repeated criminal record, her preventive detention was recommended by DPO Jammu and approved by Divisional Commissioner. In relation to this, the PSA warrant was executed today by a team led by SI Khyatiman Khajuria-Incharge police post Narwal. |
