Omar Abdullah’s hypocrisy exposed; demands election in Jammu and Kashmir but boycotts poll panel team | | | Srinagar: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah’s election hypocrisy was exposed on Thursday when he refused to meet a team of the Election Commission of India, which is in Jammu and Kashmir to hold deliberations on holding Assembly Elections in the state.
Abdullah’s action is in stark contrast to the stand he has taken after the poll panel decided not to simultaneously hold Assembly Elections in J&K along with the Lok Sabha Elections in April and May.
Earlier this week, the former J&K chief minister slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not allowing the people of Jammu and Kashmir an opportunity to elect a government.
Yesterday made the statement after PM Modi, in a series of tweets, asked people to vote in record numbers in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. |
