Reasi, Mar 17: A two day NAAC peer team visit concluded at Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi today for First Cycle of NAAC accreditation. The NAAC peer team comprised of Chairman, Dr Rajarami Reddy Gottipolu, Former Vice chancellor, Vikrama Simhapuri University, Member co-ordinator Dr. Sushil Kumar Sharma, Professor, Department of Hindi, Mizoram University and Member, Dr Raman Lal Modi, Principal C P Patel F H Shah Commerce College, Anand College Gujarat. The team arrived in the college at 9.a.m. on 15th March 2019 and was welcomed warm heartedly by the Principal, faculty and students of the college by performing "Tilak" ceremony and floral bouquet. Dr Yaseen Ahmed Shah, Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, and Nodal Principal, Dr. S.P Sarswat were also present on the occasion as external members.
Dr. Chander Mohan, presented "Principal's Presentation" reflecting college profile, curricular aspects teaching-learning and evaluation, research, innovations, and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression, governance, leadership and management, institutional values and best practices etc.
The team also visited Career Counselling Cell, Botanical Garden, Girls Common Room, Gymnasium and Health Room. The team then visited the IQAC Cell wherein they thoroughly studied all the documents in detail and discussed certain issues and prospects with regard to the functioning of IQAC Cell.
The NAAC Peer members were also apprised about various initiatives taken by the environmental cell of the college. Prof Kaurab Singh, accompanied the members during their visit in the college.
