Sunderbani, Mar 16: While most of the officials in various departments have been shifted to different areas duties during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the favourites have managed to stay at their positions.
A clerk/assistant in Block Development Office of Rural Development Department, Sunderbani is in 'good books' of Bharatiya Janata Party and, therefore, has been holding his position since for the last three years.
It is been given to understand that a close associate of BJP bigwigs, enjoying patronage of the party leaders have kept his transfer withheld and left him to enjoy his place of posting .
As per the state government strictures, one person is only bound to execute his/her duties at one place for maximum of two years.
" But he has strong links which hold him firmly at the BDO office for the last three years. Besides, he is instrumental in distributing the works to the people only who have lineage with BJP only, while the genuine works seekers suffer," said one of the official in the department wishing not to be named .
The staffers in the BDO office have sought his immediate shifting in the interest of the administration and public good.
"If he has surpassed the tenure in the BDO office, he will be shifted immediately, "assured the RDD authorities. |
